Do Bunion Correctors Work/?

"The Bible" Vox Dei in the Cathedral of Quilmes

Juan Carlos Godoy Yodi , founder and member of the legendary band Vox Dei, performed at the Cathedral of Quilmes (with the sound that has the temple of Quilmes!) Located at Mitre and Rivadavia, on Sunday 15 May 2030, the greatest work of this group: the Bible. Admission is free.

Under the auspices of the Municipality of Quilmes, former Vox Dei hopes to have the presence of his former teammates Willy Quiroga and Ricardo Soulé, who were specially invited and if the agendas of both allow it, could be in such special opportunity.
The pioneering national rock band took Ricardo Godoy and Soulé, authors of the issues that make this piece of music: Genesis, Wisdom Books, The Wars. Godoy Yodi
play these pieces with other musicians and a group of four singers. We included two new pieces, one referring to the creation of the universe and the other on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Well folks, just a matter of days ago was leaked to the internet one of the two discs Devin Townsend plans to take in June, "Deconstruction ( the other being "Ghost ). While I am not in favor of that of the leaks, I admit I was tempted to hear much because it came with a lot of expectation (and it's hard not to with titles like "Planet of the Apes " or "The Mighty Masturbator !). I can not leave a full review of the record because they did not listen enough to build something elaborate, but I can assure you it is good material! The musical style is a very aggressive progressive metal and experimental with the perfect addition to an orchestra. It also has a very large cast of guest musicians (mostly) death metal. Ghost going to be the antithesis of what is Deconstruction: calm, serene and with many musical textures, not to be missed!.

If you like the disk, try buy it if you can. Devin was selling part of your computer to bancar the production of his next work, which would be a continuation Zilte. It makes me rage to see real musicians have to get to do these things while on the other side are called "artists", those who have millions but can not play or an instrument or write songs, but hey, I can go complaining that it would be in vain.

Disc Information:

Joyita Post-Rocker
As

know my loyal fans (?) do not carry too much time in the world of post-rock, and still need to hear bands "required of the genre, but I discovered some bands of non-mainstream highly recommended ... Yndi
Halda is a musical group originally from Canterbury, England. We can say that place are progressive and experimental roots, although they are completely removed from the "Canterbury Scene". Yndi Halda, in an ancient language not remember which is, just means the title of this album "Enjoy Eternal Bliss."
This record, which at first was an EP in 2006 was remastered with the addition of the 3rd song, and released as LP. As I have understood at the moment have nothing else made this album and a demo, although the musicians continue with this project and others. Do not know too much about the band, are also very poorly understood. This is my first great discovery thanks to lastfm, I say, as a basis of color (?). Influences
groups, to name something: Explosions in the sky, Amiina, God Speed You! Black Emperor, Slow Six, Sigur Ros ...

Musically pointing to a post-rock in the middle of situable Explosions in the Sky and God Speed You! Black Emperor with perhaps more experimental quota. Predominates, as one of the predominant features, the role of the violin and classical influences, combined with typical post-rock passages style long and broad crescendos that are slow in coming but when they cause an explosion of music.
a very valuable asset, and that makes the album seem so interesting to me is the management of shades, to move from music, governed by the violin and another rope to something electric and rocking, or another place close to the experimental progressive music.
length songs, surpassing the 15 minutes in 3 of them, help to expose and share many ideas, in which the battery is a purely post-rock, but with more variations of the usual on gender. The violin adds classical music, the other strings or wind items added occasional experimental guitar duo are bringing in some passages sound to post-rock "classic" Explosions in the Sky, and the bass tends to push, almost always from background, to combine and consolidate the mixture of sounds.
As I put in the title of the review, I consider it "a jewel", mainly because the band is unclear, although lastfm has heard enough, and because it is so far the only thing the band released. In addition, because it is so easy to win the qualifier jewel (?)

This post is dedicated to Luciano "Captain Hook" I managed, with considerable effort, this album, and thanks to those who knew this great band.

We ended up publishing the discography of this great indie band with over 15 years experience and a strong commitment to the reality that surrounds them, considered one of the bands "sisters" Arbolito , but while the band has a Jethro Tull sound latinomaericano + , Eppurse Muove is River Plate (Candomble, sambas, milongas, tango and chacarera) + King Crimson . The socially committed lyrics also similar, although the contents Eppurse are more cryptic and obscure, but equally emotional. And finally, are completely independent bands, both commercially and politically. However, it does not seem Eppurse anything: Eppurse Eppurse sounds ...

This is the third and last album Muove Eppurse. The cover of this album also reveals much of its contents: a carton that unfolds in cross shows a stormy sky, fallen trees, abandoned train cars and the shadow of the musicians in the middle of a picture that looks bleak. "Without the default, the album has a conceptual thing. Always the man in the middle, in the search and in our pain as people, Land of fables given with the idea of a geographical location, and at the same time, another place located in our soul in our brain ... In domestic travel, "they said in an interview Diego and Zorro.

Here is the video of a great song they played together with Lito Vitale , I share with you:

In his latest work, the band proved, as always, your search His passion and commitment to reality. Getting people to faraway places to get lost but that all he once knew. Rhythm reminiscent of the ways that Eppurse has traveled and danced chacareras harmonies between the sands of time and sang vidalas the prairies of the soul. The message of the band is intact, and alive in every song to all the warriors who have fallen and those still walk. All are present with their free reports.

is Soucie Qui! Lalita reminded me of this great album a while ago and I will take to publish here, copy and paste the post and sleep!

Dirty Three is a band originating in the Australian city of Melbourne. It is an instrumental trio composed by Mick Turner (guitar), Warren Ellis (violin) and Jim White (drums), who since their formation in 1993 they continued playing together until now.

with minimalism as a standard rocker Post the band is mainly characterized by having a remarkable influence of folk and classical music. Anyway, his musical style has evolved over the years: Starting with an aggressive sound very experimental in their first three albums changed course on Ocean Songs to a much softer melody and delicate violin-led magical Ellis with virtuoso passages full of melancholy inspired by the sea and sirens. Without doubt a great source of inspiration ...

A divine and very original album as whole discography for these guys. No doubt this is his masterpiece, a very nice fusion of post-rock and neo-classical music!

[interview] Risotragia Rosario (Arg)

conservatory are kids who played few times live and only for a select group of friends. They make music for fun and they are recording their first album independently, as craft. The idea, have a material to share with friends and distribute it for free over the Internet, which serves as a record of an era that is no longer, because the band itself is dissolved.

Gabriel Schubert, the snail, tells us from Rosario as the beginnings of Risotragia. Among its lines reveals the youthful and creative, dynamic and non-conformism of a band to the ephemeral and doomed from its inception. Unwilling to surrender to the structures and conventions risotragicos breech the dancers become flesh of his art and living as a creative force, showing us that "music can be seen, but mostly experienced."

[Juaco]: The first image that Risotragia presented was a video recorded in the courtyard of a house on a warm day, playing in leather and with a pair of rubber bottom that moved to the rhythm the drum. But his music is delicate and sophisticated. Are identified with the duality between the bizarre and the learned, between comedy and tragedy?

[Gabi]: Of course, a little way we are. I remember the day we came up with the name of the band, we were thrown talking, walking endless moments are called "bedtime" and started naming names they gave us shame others and after a while, we decided to think of the name for our theater, the slogan was: What name would have to take our theater? and so I think the best was risotragia q, although the name does not stay that night very well defined, it will eventually hit us. Several times, too, Went the idea of not having nignun name, or have many, or one for every occasion because change is imminent and carry a name of something that is not, does not seem so right, sometimes it is not known what is, in this case, it would not take any names.

Returning to the theme of duality, I think the only way we take things WTF talk seriously, fuck, We believe our own lies and from there make music or what we do.

[Juaco] Where does the group as close to progressive rock, symphonic or whatever to do?

[Gabi]: The group appeared in an era when Nico and I were living together in a house. One day we went to visit Jeremy (the buttocks bateriles) that we saw no q to year and two days after our visit to his pension, he took the decision to throw it (go one to suspect it will have been the butt of rubber?). It was then invite Jeremy to live with us, submitting hehe Asinara conditions (we were 3 in one piece). Born there are infinite things that she could not tell, and one of them was the band.

At that time we used to listen to jazz from '50s and one of the names that were known to our piece was "El Bulo Lo De Jere." After we met Esteban, pianist and keyboardist, who came to us through contact in the same college where we studied. Seems to be a coincidence but all find in common a love of 70's rock. ELP, Yes, Genesis, Crimson and those who already know, as well as the music called "academic" as Stravinsky, Debussy, Penderecki and Ginastera to name a few.

[Juaco]: What are the influences of the band? At some point you name to Soft Machine and told me that some kids in the band had never heard. Then, from where all those sounds?

[Gabi]: q I answered a little above, although the 70's rock is something we know enough not just that what might influence us. In rock, King Crimson, Yes, ELP, Camel, Genesis, Gentle Giant, Magma (!!!), Sammler Mamma Manna, Jethro Tull, Premiata Forneria Marconi, Banco Del Mutuo Socors and probably many more that I forget.
Nationally, of course we hear LA Spinetta (Almendra, Invisible, Spinetta Jade (!!!!)), Sui, Seru and The Machine, Cross, Bubu, Coven and otherwise. We also heard lots of jazz, from ancient to the early 20 '30' 40 ', until the time of Bee Bop, Parker, Gillespie or Miles Davis Cool.

In regard to the merger, The Mahavishnu Orchestra takes all applause Links Partners haha. But then are our influences of contemporary music, it would be an endless list of composers who have heard and studied, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Luciano Berio, Luigi Nono, Edgar Varese, and many more. With regard to the question of Soft Machine, I heard several of his records, but do not remember if the others did.

A response from where these sounds, it could be our proximity to jazz, and rock.

[Juaco]: You told me you are recording an album, the first (and last?). How is this debut a posthumous album?

[Gabi]: Actually, this is strange, very strange for me, as well as it would sound strange to anyone. Just before having the idea of recording, I was with wanted to stop playing, and the truth that we were not rehearsing a lot. Then came the idea of recording to give a good finish, and remember what we did during these years. Also one of the reasons why we drifted apart, is that for me, at least personally, I have the idea to get me more squarely in contemporary music, and finish the race ended I'm studying, along with others also studied. The main reason was we were playing together for fun and pleasure, because we like to write and play what we like to compose. I think that's going to be something that we'll never leave, so do not rule out the possibility of playing when.

With respect to the disk, is the second time we recorded, the previous home was average and only for us to hear and see happened. This time, the issues are complete and with the collaboration of many musicians who played string instruments, percussion and winds, with arrangements written by us. The album is in the mixing process, and will soon go to download.

[Juaco]: Listens Argentine progressive bands who are active? You seem original ideas have lying around?

[Gabi]: The truth is that I do not hear much Argentine bands, or bands of nowhere lately. I'm more focused on composition and studying, listening to music or contemporary chamber orchestra. With respect to "Originality" of the bands from here I'm not a good reference to give a verdict, heard things that I liked a bit and many others that I found lacking in spirit, but be aware that I have a preference for the rock of 70, by 80 or 90 that I know less. Say that although I believe is 22 litter of Dead or Focus gratefull that of Radiohead or The Mars Volta. More familiar to me everything that sounds "clean" the batteries or electronic music with much delay.

Shine On!

To "celebrate" (or something) my 50 posts in the series taringa "QD" (if set me less is because there are several links deleted by fallen by compulsive accusers estimates) chose a Pink album Floyd. And choosing things are coming more "rare", but must return to the roots from time to time. Warning
As I say, who is writing this is almost unconditional fan of Pink Floyd and his favorite band, so it will be difficult to find something written too objectivity. That's a bit also why not choose "Dark Side of the Moon", simply because it was my favorite record I had been very difficult to put into words something about it, plus you could be as large as the Pyra review of "Lark's Tongues in Aspic."
Finally, located just historically we have for 75 progressive rock was at its highest sales and in fact was about to start to fall (unfortunately), we have Pink Floyd without looking or unwillingly, had become world famous and recognized by that album 2 years before was the "Dark Side of the moon." So with all this, Boys sought to give a twist to his music, but following the path that had been drawing from "Meddle" or "Atom Heart Mother" a few years ago.

addition to being next to the "Dark Side of the Moon" my 2 favorite albums, I also believe that are 2 discs with larger band together quartet, especially Rick Wright. While the "Dark Side" and "Echoes" (from Meddle) is also strongly starring Rick (be why just those 3 things are my favorite band). As I said, is a disc with a lot of work from Rick Wright, and what is not so much compositional (in the "Dark Side" composed "Us and Them" and the idea of "The Great Gig in the sky", among other things.) but from the interpretative role. is clear that the sound of "Wish you" is so decisive and original, thanks to their keyboards, which combined with the compositional genius born of Roger Waters, with the sweetness and depth of David Gilmour guitar and timely Nick Mason flashes build what, to this humble fan, is the best part of the band.
is one of those bands, Pink Floyd, who have a broad spectrum of fans, I mean people who listen and really likes Pink Floyd can come from multiple branches style in music, has fanatical followers of rock, progressive music, the psychedelic for its first stage which is then turned to that other sound, so fans of various branches. As we will all agree is that one of the seals, perhaps the most distinctive and Pink Floyd in music is its depth. Musically speaking, because we could talk about the depth of certain letters of Waters and the plot of "Dark Side" or "The wall", I speak musically. Musically that depth, these atmospheres open, slow and quiet, they can also change from one moment to another, along with depth but varying in shades, is one of the hallmarks of the band. Omnipresence keyboards from the back, sound effects, multiple voices, unique style of Gilmour on guitar, at times the acidity and sweetness of Roger Waters moments, combined with the wide and deep sound that said, some will say "spatial" (for me space is another matter) could be a first, possibly worst of all, defining what the band sounds.

And if we talk about depth in the sound, this album is simply outstanding. Created environments, especially on both sides of "Shine on You Crazy Diamond" by Wright's keyboards, bass discrete but with some resonant phrases, the superlative guitar Gilmour, Mason ant work, plus "added" as the female voices are ever present in this sound, and input from Dick Perry saxes and some sound effects make "Shine on ... " Is an exceptional piece. As there are "Standards" in jazz, this song has become something like the progressive music world, and why not rock. Sweet melody, lyrically melancholy and deep harmony is a song, for me, none.

But that melancholy which name is a defining feature of the disc, perhaps more nostalgia ( "Remember when You Were Young ... You shine like a sun " are the first lines of the disc, if that's not nostalgia ...). Many say it's an album about absence, is a fairly straightforward interpretation to be called" Wish you were here ", having clear nods to the "hero" symbolic of the band, Barret in "Shine on ...", and is even clearer if one reads the letter of the title track to the disc (which many believe is pifiadamente love).
For Furthermore, the nostalgia and absence are magnified by the disappointment of other issues, as is his (then) recent musical success, "Have a Cigar" and "Welcome to the machine" so different musically ( one being a symphonic rock song and the other an experimental and environmental) point to the disappointment (with some acidity that then characterize of Waters) for this new world where music is mainly a business, and entrepreneurs art is relegated to plane.
Among these conceptual ideas, some a little disjointed but all pointing to a species of "Paradise Lost" (either by the problems of Syd, the nostalgia of that time when they were young, by the disappointment that was his musical world changing because they became a business, or the loss itself, embodied in "Wish you were here" .) we have a musical work that is in charge of shaping it, in my opinion exquisitely.
In short, I could keep writing more nonsense on the disc, as one of my favorites. But above and to reach and if not I will not re-read or myself.
Conclusion (?), Being subjective, because I can not be objective here, is a masterpiece. Those who do not know do not forget to look for the letters.
